Abstract
The diagnosis and establishment of ideal occlusion is most important factor for the patient who needs occlusal treatment or prosthetic rehabilitation. But, traditionally, dentists depend on their experiences to evaluate occlusion. With the development of digital dentistry, a computerized system for an objective analysis of dental occlusion has been introduced and is widely used. The T-Scan(?)III system is a reliable and easy-to-use clinical diagnostic device that recorded and analyzed occlusal contact forces to time using paper-thin sensors. This digital device has application in many phase of dentistry in which occlusal diagnosis and treatment are involved , and remains the only practical quantitative method to analyze the occlusion. In this study, we introduce the T-Scan(?)III system, capabilities and various clinical applications.
